Want to join #TeamAADI in raising autism awareness and acceptance in April National Autism Awareness Month?
We have an exciting host of awareness and fundraising ideas to help you get all your friends, family or colleagues involved. You will be raising awareness and acceptance of autism and raising vital funds to help change the world for children with autism.
Sign up as an individual or as a team and we will send out a registration pack that will include everything you need.
What can I/we get involved with?
You can organise your own fundraising and awareness event. We have provided a host of great tips and ideas in the registration pack. Alternatively you can join us in participating in the Autism Awareness Week Challenge that will be running each week in April (you can choose which week you undertake the challenge).
Autism Awareness Week Challenge.
Get together with friends or colleagues and undertake the Autism Awareness Week challenge.
Move it Monday - Whether its 50 squats, 10,000 steps or even 30 mins of zumba at lunchtime, the challenge is to get moving. You set the bar and choose the challenge. You can do it individually or together as a group.
Treat Tuesday - Host a coffee morning or bake sale and treat your friends/colleagues to some sweet treats in exchange for a donation.
Welly Wednesday - Wear your wellies for the day and when someone asks you why, be sure to tell them your raising money for a great cause. Your wellies will be a talking point and a great opportunity for you to open up the lines of conversation and talk about. Don’t forget to get all your friends and colleagues to wear their wellies as well.
Talk about it Thursday - Fly the flag for autism awareness and acceptance by spreading the word and selling our autism awareness month message badges.
Feel good Friday - #DoGoodFeelGood. The challenge today is to do something good to earn that feel good vibe. Whether it is a random act of kindness or you commit the whole day to doing good it’s up to you.
Step up Saturday - Step up for autism and challenge yourself to 10,000 steps. You can walk, jog or run your steps and if you don’t have a step counter don’t fear, we’ve done the maths and 10,000 steps is about 8kms. So put on your runners, get the family out to the park or meet your friends for a hike and step up.
Sit down sunday - Sunday is all about sitting down and reflecting. You have done something amazing, you have raised vital funds and awareness and helped change the world for children with autism. Share your success on social media and thank your supporters. #DoGoodFeelGood
