Meet Hero, OSS Recruitment dog!
We are delighted to partner with #TeamAADI to help fund the training of an autism assistance dog. Meet Hero, the OSS Recruitment dog! We will be setting an ambitious target of raising €22,000 over 2 years to train Hero. It takes up to 2 years and costs €22,000 to train a life changing AADI assistance dog.
Year One: Inishowen 100 (Target: €11,000)
In 2021, we reached our target and raised €11,000 to fund Hero's puppy training programme. We completed a cycling challenge around the Inishowen Peninsula and combined with employee donations we reached the target. For year 2 of the partnership,we are taking on the AADI Dog Sled Expedition and aim to raise another €11,000. AADI do not charge families for these life-changing dogs. The charity is entirely supported by fundraising and donations. Please donate what you can and support Hero's training and this wonderful charity.
Year Two: AADI Dog Sled Expedition (Target: €11,000)
The AADI Dog Sled Expedition is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and the ultimate test of endurance. We'll spend five days sledding through the rolling highlands and deep forests of Lapland! The challenge will cover approximately 270km as we journey from Norway to Sweden passing through wild and untouched nature on our way to the original and world-famous Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi. We'll experience daily life in Lapland as we tend to our team of dogs and watch the Northern Lights. A truly unforgettable experience awaits and together with your support we will open up a whole new world of opportunity for a child with autism.
