80K October Challenge

Walk or run 80km this October and help Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland train life-changing dogs for autistic children, families and school communities across Ireland. Sign up, get your free 80K Challenge T-shirt and turn every kilometre into meaningful support.

This October, we’re inviting people across Ireland to walk or run 80 kilometres in 31 days to support Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland.

That’s around 2.6km a day, completed wherever and however works for you. Walk with the dog, head out with friends, get your colleagues involved or take some time for yourself outdoors. Your 80K is yours to complete.

And every kilometre can help make something much bigger possible.

Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland trains highly skilled Assistance Dogs for autistic children and their families, as well as School Support Dogs that support students and wider school communities.

For an autistic child and their family, an Assistance Dog can provide vital support with safety, confidence and greater independence in everyday life. In schools, early evidence from AADI’s School Support Dogs Programme is also showing strong outcomes in wellbeing, emotional regulation, inclusion and engagement.

Training an Assistance Dog costs approximately €25,000, and our work depends on fundraising and public support. That’s why challenges like 80K matter.

Last October, the AADI 80K community raised more than €90,000, showing just how powerful thousands of individual kilometres can become when we take them on together.
