Apprentice Assistance Dog Instructor
Location: AADI HQ (Little Island, Cork) and throughout cork city - with approximately a total of 6 weeks per year spent conducting aftercare and home assesments with clients which will require travel and overnights, throughout Ireland.
Contract type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: Negotiable D.O.E.
Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland are expanding their Assistance Dog Programme and are currently inviting applications on an ongoing basis for upcoming Apprentice Autism Assistance Dog Instructor roles. We are seeking individuals with at least 2 years practical dog handling experience and a qualification in canine behaviour and/or social science, nursing or other people, training or dog related disaplines. This is a 2.5 year paid apprenticeship style programme where you will work under the supervision of one of our Qualified Instructors training assistance dogs for children with autism. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship you will be offered a role as an Assistance Dog Instructor.
