Wednesday has changed Jack’s life

She’s more than a dog. She’s Jack’s calm, his confidence, and his best friend.

“Jack has autism, and the past few years haven’t been easy. He went through two really tough years with constant hospital appointments — and he found them incredibly distressing.

He spent two weeks in hospital last year and was overwhelmed every day, desperate to leave.

Then came Wednesday.

From the very beginning, she made an incredible difference. Within a week, we started noticing changes. Now, when Jack has hospital appointments, he doesn’t ask to leave. He stays calm. He sits with her and says, “I love you, Wednesday. You’re amazing.”

Before, Jack couldn’t cope with the idea of medical tests — he didn’t understand what was happening and would often have emotional outbursts. But Wednesday grounds him. She helps him process emotions and brings his anxiety right down.

We have so many appointments in Jack. Jack used to constantly be on edge, trying to run away. Now he’s just… with her. Settled. Safe.

At home, he used to resist leaving the house. Now, he looks forward to going outside to play in the garden — because he gets to go with Wednesday. He wants to do it. That connection is everything.

And yes — she’s also absolutely beautiful. Everyone comments on how shiny her coat is.

We don’t have enough words to explain what she’s brought into our lives.
