John Mullarkey will take on an extraordinary fundraising challenge in support of Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland and Parkinson’s Ireland Galway.
From 4pm on Friday 7 August until 4pm on Saturday 8 August, John will attempt to climb Croagh Patrick as many times as possible within 24 hours. It’s a challenge that will test his endurance, determination and resilience, all to raise vital funds for two charities that support people and families across Ireland.
Over the past few weeks, John has been preparing with regular training climbs, including night-time hikes to get ready for the toughest hours of the challenge.
John is inviting anyone who would like to join him to come along for part of the event. Whether it’s one climb, a few hours on the mountain or simply cheering him on, every bit of encouragement will help carry him through the 24 hours.
The challenge has also been made possible thanks to the dedication of our volunteer, Dee Jordan, who has been coordinating the event on behalf of AADI. We’re incredibly grateful for all the time and effort she’s put into making it happen.
