And we're finished! 30 in 30

There it is, April is over, just like that. Like any good person in sales, set a target, get stuck in, realise its daunting, figure out a plan and exceed the targets! Boom! Had a plan to cover 25km, managed to achieve my "real" target of 30kms, Goal was to raise 500euro, managed to raise over 1000. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this challenge, and more importantly for supporting this charity who will be making this money go to great use.

2 days left of challenge, blown away by support , exceeding funding target, seems only right to do the same in the pool. 26.7Km done, 30Km looks good. Lets see in 2 days time!

And we're done (kinda)

Hit the Charity and my own personal target. Was tough to get going and ramp up to a higher volume of swims than I'm used to. Will keep going now to see how much further I can get before the month closes out. A huge heartfelt thank you to everyone that has liked, sent kind messages and sponsored me on this challenge. Thank you!

Final Stretch

16 swims / 24.025kms done, just 925 meters to go

First goal hit, next one in sight!

14 swims down (including a swim in the Atlantic), at 10c I could only manage 300 mtrs before i called it quits. However, 14 swims is 14 swims. Nearly 21kms done, on track to hit 25kms this week, and who knows!!!

The finish line is in sight!

12 swims down, nearly 19kms completed. All looking good to complete the challenge and exceed the target by the end of the month.

Day 10 and finish in sight

10 swims in, over 15kms completed and with 15 days to go in the month, will be looking to exceed the 25km goal.

Nearing the half way point 🤘

It's been a few days since I've posted.  illness at the start of the week did risk putting me behind target, but have been able to catch up. Right now. Nearly at the half way mark . 8 swims done and nearly 12.5kms completed

Longer run between intervals, getting into the regular habit which is cool

Day 2, while the speed was down a bit the distance was up. 1.6kms today, so solid momentum

And we're off!

April 1st , while a day for fools, is also a good time to kick of a campaign. The target is to complete 14 swims, but i'll be looking to exceed this and the target distance. So, off to a reasonable start, 1.4km's down, 23.6km to go!

Thank you for supporting me on my Autism Heroes 2024 Challenge. I am delighted to be taking part in this fundraiser and help raise vital funds for AADI's Autism Heroes 2024 campaign. 

The aim of the campaign is to reopen the Application Process in 2024 for children and families to get their Autism Assistance Dogs. Thanks to your donation, we are on track to helping AADI reach their goal!

It costs €25,000 and takes 2 years to train and place an assistance dog. They do not charge families for these life transforming dogs. The charity is entirely supported by fundraising and donations. Please donate what you can and support me and this wonderful charity.
