Could you look after an amazing AADI Brood?

13 Feb 2024

We are actively seeking volunteers who can offer a loving home to a Brood from Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, providing support as she plays a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of assistance dogs.

Have you ever wondered how you can make a positive impact on the lives of people with autism and their families? If you love dogs and have some spare time, you might be interested in becoming a volunteer for AADI and taking care of one of our amazing Broods.

A Brood is a female dog who is specially trained to produce puppies that will become assistance dogs for children with autism. These dogs are carefully selected and bred to have the best temperament, health and skills for their role. They provide emotional support, companionship and safety for children with autism, helping them to cope with everyday challenges and improve their quality of life.

As a volunteer, you will provide a loving home for a Brood and help her with her important mission. You will get a well-socialised dog to live with you as part of your family, with all the support, guidance and advice you need to continue her training. You will also have the opportunity to raise a litter of puppies, with a member of AADI’s staff on hand every step of the way to give you all the support and guidance you need (you don’t need any previous experience!)

Being a Dog Breeding volunteer is a rewarding and fulfilling experience that will not only benefit the Brood and her puppies, but also the children and families who will receive them as assistance dogs. You will also have the chance to witness the amazing bond between a Brood and her pups, and see how they grow and develop.

You can make a difference in the lives of people with autism and their families by becoming a hero for autism with AADI.
